Forget about a Yellow Ribbon, Don't waste money on an Expen$ive $ign, Instead, alert your local Media, and coordinate a Family and Hometown Welcome Home that neither the GI, their Family or Friends will Ever Forget.!
My Cousin Jeni had this great Idea after seeing this article in her Local Newspaper. She posted it on her Facebook Wall, and I said that Every GI should have a Welcome like this guy did : Monroe Louisianna "The News Star" .
So, that being our inspiration, we are now starting to spread the Word around to all the Social Networking sites and Blogs we can think of, and we could use ALL the help You fine folks can give Us !
Planning and Promotion Updates
My next move is to write an article on my local, ( Indianapolis ) TV stations and Newspaper Blogs, and to contact friends at 2 local Newspapers here in Kokomo, IN.
Jeni is working-up a widget that will be easily embeded in My Blogs and Web Pages, and we will make the Embed Script available here. Again, We can't do this alone, so in order for this to become "Viral" and spread Nationwide, We need Every visitor to post a link, widget, or picture with a link-back here on every inch of cyberspace which they have access to.
I'll be adding a Corkboard and Guestbook here soon, so at least drop us a line, give us a clue, and post your Blog or Website so others can visit You too !
